A Real Good Black Man Art Exhibit 2027

Opening Gala

“A Real Good Black Man” is a community-anchored visual arts exhibition designed to honor the legacy, resilience, and diverse stories of over 100 Black Males, most, Nebraska Men. By pairing 100 grassroots local talented artist (from middle school to adult) to create artwork inspired on of the honorees.‍ ‍We hope to educate, enlighten and enjoy an exquisite exhibit of exceptionally talented Nebraskans. Please join us in honoring excellence.

Exhibition Hour: Guided Exhibit Tour and Celebration of Honorees and Local Artists

Special Panel Discussion: A critical dialogue on Black Boyhood into Black Manhood: What Does It Mean to Be A Real Good Black Man? Analyzing and questioning narratives, stereotypes and the character of Black Men.

Hot Cocoa and Dessert Bar: Delectable delicious offerings for you to enjoy while at the Opening Gala.

Artist Roundtable: Artists discuss how they transformed the honoree into an exquisite canvas

Live Performance Art: Live Creations contemplating the 2027 legacy “what if?” life of Will Brown, victim of Red Summer (Omaha Sept 28 1919)

Interactive Workshop: Seminar about Gordon Parks and Ernie Barnes plus some inspired works of other famous Black American Artists explored
